This is more than just a camp—it's a full race weekend and a complete cycling experience, designed for every rider. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, join us in Flagstaff for three days of high-altitude riding, skill-building, community, and the chance to test yourself in the Village Gravel Race and Friday night Gravel Crit!

Who Is This Camp For?

  • Co-ed, all levels: from gravel-curious first-timers to seasoned endurance racers and pros
  • Riders who want a mix of adventure, challenge, expert coaching, and community
  • Anyone age 18+—bring your grit, curiosity, and a willingness to go further!

Daily Schedule (Final times/details to be confirmed; ride options each day!)

  • Wednesday (Arrival): Check-in at Village Camp Flagstaff (evening), meet your coaches, crew, and fellow riders
  • Thursday: Guided gravel ride (choose from ~30 to 80 miles based on your experience/goals); skills clinic and Q&A; evening group hangout & recovery
  • Friday: Morning group rides (all paces/distances), tactical/technical session, Village Gravel Race preview; evening Gravel Crit Race (short, fun, all levels); group dinner (included)
  • Saturday: Village Gravel Race (35, 70, or 100 miles—entry included); post-race celebration at Village Camp (food, music, community)
  • Sunday: Kids’ Scavenger Hunt Bike Race (optional/family-friendly); check-out and farewells

About the Races

Village Gravel Race (Saturday)

  • Choose your distance: 35, 70, or 100 miles
  • Each course blends Flagstaff’s signature smooth gravel, rugged climbs, and world-class singletrack
  • Fully supported: aid stations, SAG vehicles, and marshals
  • Finish line celebration with food, music, and the Flagstaff cycling community

Friday Night Gravel Crit

  • Fun, short-course loop race (open to all levels; race or spectate!)
  • Perfect for shaking out the nerves, dialing your setup, or just enjoying the excitement
  • Beginner and advanced categories available

Course Details

  • Flagstaff gravel offers a wild mix of smooth roads, punchy climbs, rocky/technical segments, and singletrack
  • All rides and races start/finish at Village Camp, with full amenities and plenty of support
  • Changing terrain keeps things challenging and scenic—bring your best tires and an adventurous mindset!

How It Works for Every Rider

  • Advanced/Pro Riders: 3–5 hour daily rides, longer routes (up to 80 miles Thursday/Friday), go hard in the main race Saturday, push your limits with other experienced athletes
  • Beginner/Intermediate: Supported daily rides (short and moderate options), skills clinics, coaching for pacing/race prep—do as much or as little as you want
  • All Riders: Flexible options, a supportive crew, and a welcoming community; we meet you where you’re at and help you grow

Who can attend the camp?

Anyone age 18+ who wants to ride, learn, and race—whether you’re a gravel beginner, a committed amateur, or a pro. All levels and all genders are welcome.

Do I have to race?

No, but we encourage you to! Most riders join at least one event (Gravel Crit or Village Gravel Race), but you can do the camp rides and clinics only if you prefer.

Is this camp too advanced for me?

Not at all. Every day features ride options and groups for all abilities. You’ll get full support, and our coaches help you set the right goals and have a great experience, whatever your level.

What’s the difference between the camp and the race?

The camp is three days of guided rides, clinics, and support. The races (Gravel Crit and Village Gravel Race) are your chance to test yourself and celebrate your progress!

Are accommodations included?

No, book your own cabin or RV site at Village Camp (use code VILLAGEGRAVEL for 5% off) or a local hotel.

What meals are included?

Daily breakfast snacks/coffee and one group dinner (Friday). Lunches and other dinners are on your own.

Is there mechanical/support help?

Yes—bike build/breakdown help, SAG, and on-site mechanical support all weekend.

What should I bring?

Your bike (gravel or MTB recommended), helmet, shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal nutrition/recovery items you like.
